Three days during which folk art pieces that have served their purpose are reborn as one-of-a-kind artworks.
“The LAB,” a new exhibition by the upcycling art project “LESS, BUT BETTER,” which launched in 2023, will be held for three days from Friday, July 3, to Sunday, July 5.
Led by stylist Akiyoshi Morita, this project—guided by the philosophy of “creating new value from the past and circulating it into the future”—has been transforming folk art that has served its purpose and items lying dormant in old folk houses into one-of-a-kind art pieces through the hands of artists. Positioned as a testing ground (or “LAB”), this exhibition is where tradition and street culture, the past and the future, intersect.

2023年に始動したアップサイクルアートプロジェクト「LESS, BUT BETTER（レス・バット・ベター）」の新たな展覧会「The LAB」を、7月3日（金）～7月5日（日）の3日間開催します。
スタイリスト・森田晃嘉が主宰する本プロジェクトは、「過去に新しい価値を創り、未来へ循環させる」を理念に、役目を終えた民芸品や古民家に眠る品々を、アーティストの手で一点物のアートピースへと再生させてきました。その実験場（＝LAB）と位置づけられる本展では、伝統とストリート、過去と未来が交差します。

始于2023年的升级再造艺术项目“LESS, BUT BETTER”将于7月3日（周五）至7月5日（周日）举办为期3天的全新展览“The LAB”。
该项目由造型师森田晃嘉主持，秉承“创造过去的新价值，并将其循环至未来”的理念，将已完成使命的民艺品及沉睡于古民居中的物品，通过艺术家的巧手再生为独一无二的艺术品。本次展览被定位为该项目的实验场（＝LAB），传统与街头文化、过去与未来将在这里交汇。
